Love hurts ... Petrushka
A Production by The.Lab & NDKD
The ballet ’Petruschka’ is the template for the project ’Love hurts….Petrushka’ in which the dance worlds of street dance and the Ballets Russes encounter each other.
Amazing and visionary images stand alongside scenes whose inspiration is in realism, tragedy triumphs against the comic, chaos against order.
Mario Schröder, Ballett direktor of Ballett Kiel, choreographs together with Julie Pecquet, who is responsible for the Hip Hop parts.
The music is the original version of Stravinsky's "Petruschka", complemented with modern tracks by music producer and Hip Hop pioneer Mike Dietrich.
Set and costumes by Claus Stump.

I like the fragility of the gestures, the emotion-giving energy. I love dance that shatters. I fight every day, faced with the barriers that plague society.

Botega
Rome
BOTEGA represents a gathering of athletic dancers, acrobats, break-dancers and gymnasts: these being elements unequal for formation but all fascinated by the extreme activity and characterised by dynamism, rhythm, power, and energy.
Inside the Company different gestual forms and experiences live together since 1995, originating works based on the composite existence of Hip Hop dance, athletics and elements of contemporary dance.
The artistic director Enzo Cellei succeeds in engendering a spectacular style of dancing and movement, which connects the aggression and rawness of street dance with intense powers of expression, poetic, sometimes almost melancholy, moments and acrobatics.
He uses the breathtaking technique of his dancers, acrobats and break-dancers to create fast-moving dream journeys between flying and falling, dance shows between weightlessness and gravity.

The choreography is seductive, the dancers are amazing. A gesture becomes a style, the dancers are enchanting for the technique and expressiveness.

Spellbound Dancecompany
Rome
Spellbound Dance Company started its activity in 1994.
Founded and directed by Mauro Astolfi the company maintained constantly a strong urge to the choreographic research and the mix of styles, to make sure that performance is seen as a holder of emotions, images, sounds, movements in constant evolution.
The company as a platform for new experimentations in style has succeeded in imposing itself as a dynamic and striking structure for both personal and original choreography and excellent skills of the dancers.
As an important result of these first 15 years of activity, the Company has been commissioned in 2008 for The Biennale of Venice with “Don Juan - or the flesh tree” and for the Picasso Foundation of Malaga in Spain with the choreography “For her” and to participate in September 2009 in the International Arts Festival of Bangkok.
